Hey, How much did your rig cost? I have a Dell Dimension E510, and all I can say is that the proccessor and the graphics card need a major overhaul. Anything you would suggest proccessor/graphics card wise?
April 3rd, 2007 at 10:09 pm

Hey attila, need ur help, i just have bought a new graphics card Nvidia 8600 GT + 2GB DRR2 OCZ platinum 2. memory, i think these are enough to play, i have a pentium 4 processor 2,ghz (Don’t have money to buy one) so i don’t know what more i need to play, a good motherboard?, can you recomend a cheap card that will work for this?.
October 26th, 2007 at 10:16 am
well your processor is probably the slow part but if the motherboard isn’t good enough to support well a better processor.
The thing is that everything is interlinked in a computer. If one part is slower then the others well… all the rest is slowed by it.
check the hardware guide to learn more

January 4th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
im getting a new graphic card i dont know which one is better
the hd3870 or Geforce 8800gt ;(
January 4th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
well 8800 is better and more expensive, the hd 3870 a little less powerfull but is cheaper so it give you more for the price you pay.
January 5th, 2008 at 12:03 am
May seem off topic but do you plan on continuing any chronicles in MTW 2 Kingdoms. (This questions for the original MTW2) What country would you think relies the most on heavy infrantry and heavy calvary[(preferably a small country for increased diffuculty:) ]
For the graphics settings I did tests on which things would work best and not wiegh down my FPS like a whale. Is there anyway to increase that FPS rate?
Sorry for so many questions
January 5th, 2008 at 11:22 am
Making an other chronicles is a possibility but can’t promise anything on the subject.
france, england and HRE are those that relie the most on heavy cavalry
as for fps, either lower your graphic, or buy a new card
January 13th, 2008 at 5:38 pm
Do you ever use a gaming console? Looks like you have a pretty impressive configuration there too!

March 18th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
isnt a xeon a server-cpu???
March 19th, 2008 at 11:03 am
well Xeon are cpu that are mostly use in servers, but my computer “isn’t” a server, but has all the hardware to become one. It’s kinda the top end of destkop but just under the server category. It’s design for activities that require a lot of CPU, like 3D modeling and Video editing. That’s why it fit my needs and like a server can be very easily updated with more Hardrive, ram, two CPU, etc.
March 24th, 2008 at 8:25 am
hey atilla im plannin to get an upgrade of ATI Radeon X1950PRO graphics card and im gonna up grade my comp to 1.5gb ram
and i got a p4ht 3.0ghz processor will this slow my comp down? n i wanna know is it upgrading gonna be able 2 play cutting edge graphics game
im not good with computers thnx

I’m not really sure I’ve my computer’s capability as of now either. I have been playing Rome Total War a lot lately, and it lags… Lags bad. The campaign screen especially. It is very annoying, and very aggravating. The only way I can get the normal response is to head my screen to the Atlantic. I was wondering if there was a way to where you could help me up the performance of my computer. I’m only 16, so money is a problem. I’m sorry this all seems… Childish? But I would really, really appreciate it if you could help me.
March 25th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Nick go to how to record gameplay videos it has a video on how to use windows movie maker to make videos and put them on youtube…
March 25th, 2008 at 7:44 pm

go in your game option and reduce graphic detail, or buy a new computer.
March 31st, 2008 at 5:50 pm
Hi,
I’m thinking of buying a new pc, and I saw one with this configuration:
Core 2 Quad 6600 2.40 GHz
3Gb DDR II
500 Gb 7200rpm SATA
ATI HD2400PRO
Intel HighDefinition 7.1
What do you think? Is it good for gaming?
Thanks
March 31st, 2008 at 8:21 pm
it would be average for gaming, if i were you i would get a ATI 3850, or ATi 3780, check the hardware guide for more info, or ask on the forum
April 1st, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Thanks for the advice. How about an ATI 3870 x2?
April 1st, 2008 at 1:50 pm
if you have the money go for it
April 7th, 2008 at 9:18 am
Kool Specs. Which Motherboard do you have? Does it support SLI? If it does, then two SLI Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 512MB is way better. One 9600GT is around a $150 US. The reviews say that a geforce 9600GT is better than a RADEON HD 3870. 9600GT is cheap and can play ALL the games out nowadays on at least high. So, I suggest you change to NVIDIA cards now, coz RADEON is goin down.
9600GT is such a big success, very cheap and very powerful. it is comparable to the 8800GT 512MB. So SLI two 9600GT and you’re ready for at least 2 years of MAX graphics on every game out.
April 7th, 2008 at 11:51 am
Hi!

My config:) :
- Intel Core2 Duo E8200
- CORSAIR Dominator 2048MB
- FSP SAGA 400W Passive PFC Retail
- XFX 9600GT 512MB XXX PCIE
- WD 250/SATA2/
- Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
April 7th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Hey I don’t understand. About your power supply you only have 230 watts if I’m correct?
I thought you needed at least 300 or 350 watts for that card.
April 8th, 2008 at 7:59 am
Well since the comment you refer is base on my old hardware, good question.
I currently have a 800 watts powersupply
April 9th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Hey Atilla, I’m currently looking to buy a cheap gaming pc and I found this on tigerdirect.
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3443619&sku=C477-1002
So I’m wondering what you think of this and I’ve heard good and bad reviews about Cyberpower which is the manufacturer of this pc.
If this pc is not good, then could you recommend another cheap pc?
My budget is under :$800
April 9th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
well you should be ok for maybe 2 years, but i can hardly judge… there is alway a lot of factor to think about.
April 10th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Hey at wat settings work for Crysis?
My Config–
Intel Quad Core 2.4 GHZ
Crucial 4 GB
1000 Watts PSU
2 X Geforce 8800 GTS (SLI enabled)

April 11th, 2008 at 1:33 pm

Hey attila i just bought a new computer a few days ago and i want to know if i can play medieval 2 here.

2.2ghz
geforce6100
1gb ram
160gb hard drive
April 16th, 2008 at 8:50 am
may work but not too well, try the demo first, but expect lag
April 16th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
But can it run the game in low or medium graphics???
April 16th, 2008 at 3:20 pm
i’ve seen your videos of arma and medieval and i like the way you play, i am also subscribe to your account in YouTube and i love your videos…
i’m sorry to bother you but i have one more question, can i play arma in my computer???
April 16th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
well it may be able to run it on low or medium… but it’ really hard to judge without trying them, I highly recommend trying the demos first to make sure and give you an idea how enjoyable the game can be on your setup.
As For arma i also recommend trying the demo, it’s a very demanding game since you are fighting on a 240 km2 island that is at all time loaded.
So check out the demos and find out by yourself. And if it’s playable feel free to join some games with the DYG members
April 16th, 2008 at 10:05 pm

But you don’t really need that much power at the moment.
April 19th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
wut kind of graphics card u have attila??
May 1st, 2008 at 2:26 am
where can I get a IBM computer or all the stuff that it has plus video card, sound card etc.
May 1st, 2008 at 7:18 am
well IBM are not the kind of computer you find in most store anymore, they are more workstation then desktop. So to find affordable one, i go on Ebay, same thing for the component i may need to adapt the computer for gaming.
May 1st, 2008 at 6:09 pm
was urs made for gaming or was it like used for something else (attila)
May 1st, 2008 at 6:31 pm
it’s a xeon, so make for video editing, 3d design, server use, etc.

May 12th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Hey Attila,
How well could i play Med 2. with:
Geforce 7600gs
1gb ram
2.4 pentium 4
May 13th, 2008 at 8:55 am
you should be ok
June 1st, 2008 at 9:17 pm
i saw your computer specs.
and i just wanted to ask something.
your computer with those specs can run big games like -COD4- -Crysis-
-RS2V- and -SOLARSINSOFEMPIRE- games all on high settings ???
orwill it have trouble ?
Thanks…
June 1st, 2008 at 10:59 pm
it run all those game on high with fps between 30 and 91 depending the game and the context.
(i cannot run crysis on very high since i do not have vista at the moment, but my card support directx 10.1. So it probably would run on very high at an acceptable fps.
June 2nd, 2008 at 6:53 pm
one last question =)
how much did you spend on all your computer hardware .
lets say how much does your computer cost with all you have ( hardware and graphics card )custom. . . .?
June 2nd, 2008 at 7:52 pm
hard to say, the price i have paid it isn’t the price it worth now.
June 3rd, 2008 at 10:42 pm
So what settings do you play on Crysis, I know you said High but I mean Anti-Aliasing. Do you have it on? I have a nvidia 9800 GX2 with 4 gigs of ram, quad core 2.4ghz. It runs really nice until you get into the AA. Its playable up to 4x aa.
So do you even have it turned on because I don’t think you could get 40 fps with aa turned on
June 4th, 2008 at 7:30 am
i have AA x2
June 4th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Thanks.
Its kind of ridiculous that nvidia would release a card that can’t handle a game. They even released it months after the game was out!
Even with 4x AA it lags a bit but I think I can handle it.
June 5th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
well crytek designed crysis with future hardware in mind. I guess that’s a debatable strategy, but the game does look good.
June 14th, 2008 at 7:13 am
Yo Attila!!! WHOAH!!! You said that you’re PC can play Assassin’s Creed on 200fps with everything on FULL!??? And your PC is like priced about $1000!!??? OMG!!! I think I’ll get the same.

ATI Radeon HD 3870… That’s not a very good card coz even the NVIDIA 9600GT has better benchmarks in most games, and I think it’s a bit cheaper. You should think about getting 2 9600GT and SLi them and overclock them both. That would be awesome.
Radeon is not really as good as NVIDIA nowadays. HOWEVER! The New ATI HD4870 is coming out this MONTH!!! It’s the first with GDDR5 memory!!! OMG!!! And 800 STEAM PROCESSORS!!! ALSO 512-bit bus!!! WOOOWWW!!! And it isn’t TOO expensive, around $350! NICE!!!! You should get it when it comes out dude! People say you could play Crysis on Max settings.
Get that or NVIDIA 9900GTX which is better but $500, coming out next month….
June 17th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
ooh..
Kind of ridiculous that they released the nvidia GTX 280 and obsoleted the whole 9 series only 2-3 months after it came out.
Ridiculous.
but I’ve got a job now and probably in a year I’ll get a new card.
July 3rd, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Hey man do you plan on buying the ATI 4870?
July 4th, 2008 at 8:11 am
my 3870 does the job great at the moment
July 7th, 2008 at 7:12 pm

July 23rd, 2008 at 6:51 pm
I have a ALC883 High Definition Audio 6-channel CODEC for a sound card. I checked out yours and turns out you can download it. Is my sound card compatible with SoundMAX HD Audio?
July 23rd, 2008 at 8:02 pm
audio stuff is alway a mess to find proper driver and stuff, so best thing is to keep the driver you already have, before messing up your sound
July 24th, 2008 at 12:17 am
Do you think rainbow six vegas and other games will work on the sound card i have right now? ALC883 High Definition Audio 6-channel CODEC
July 24th, 2008 at 9:08 am
it should, sound is really not an important thing when it comes to game compatibility
August 2nd, 2008 at 2:16 am
