Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Red Dot Sight Review

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Red Dot Sight

The Red Dot Sight is an add on that doesn’t have a long range zoom.

It’s main feature is it’s special reticule form by the red dot.

It allows the user to acquire a target with accuracy without being aligned directly with the eyes.

The main interest is to quickly increase the accuracy without limiting the arc of view.

This allows to acquire and fire on a target without losing sight of the environment.

The only cost being a reduction of movements when it’s used, making the player an easier target, especially in close combat.

Recoil has a major effect too, and forces you to compensate regularly to keep your target well aligned.

From a tactical point of view, we recommend to activate it exclusively when a target is aligned.

As soon as the target is down deactivate it to move back to your normal speed.

By using it this way you will gain from it’s quality without the inconvenience.

From a general stand point the Red Dot Sight is useful in all environments.

It is good in the open and close environments as long as you develop the right reflexes.

The Red Dot Sight appears to be the most versatile add on that you can choose in Call of Duty 4.

It is mostly adapted for a player with an aggressive way of playing, that like to move around and need to eliminate multiple target as fast as possible.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Juggernaut Perk Review

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

The perk juggernaut increases your health.

We recommend the use of this perk at the normal difficulty level. At this difficulty, it will allow you to survive a greater number of hits.

In the context of a frontal engagement, it will give you an advantage over your adversaries.

It is especially useful when the player adopts an aggressive style of playing and tends to run under heavy fire.

This perk is great for player that like to move in a very careless way and take risk running under enemy fire from cover to cover.

At the hardcore difficulty level we do not recommend it’s use. While it still offers you better health, the increase is too small to give you a real advantage against bullets that are much stronger.

This is why we recommend to dedicate this perk space to an other perk more useful for hardcore.

To conclude, the Perk juggernaut is very useful at the normal difficulty level for the offensive player that enjoy the risk taking, while at hardcore difficulty it won’t give you any significant advantage
and can be considered a waste of a perk space.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Sleight of Hand Perk Review

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

The perk sleight of Hand increases the reloading speed of you weapon.

This insures that the player will be ready to engage the enemies with a full clip in no time.

In the case of shotguns, the sleight of hand does make a major difference, making the reloading speed instantenious.

So the limited quantity of ammo in the shoguns becomes less of an issue due to the gain in reloading speed.

The Support weapons also gain from the sleight of hand by reducing once again a long reloading time.

The sleight of Hand show it’s effectiveness for all weapons in all difficulties level. But shotguns and support weapons still gain a little bit more from it.

To conclude, while the avantages the sleight of hand provides, we think it’s better to adopt reloading strategies then choose this perk.

The only exeption being the use of the shotgun where the nature of the guns and contextual use of it gain a lot from having a faster reloading pace.

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Double Tap Review

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

This is the first video of a series of mini guide on Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, that aim to help new player to the game.

Double Tap is a Perk that doubles the fire rate or your weapon.

The increase in fire rate helps you eliminate your adversaries faster. This reduces the risk of counter attacks as a consequence.

On the other hand, doubling the fire rate leads to a faster spending of your ammo and forces you to reload more frequently. Reloading takes more or less time depending on the weapon. In the context where multiple adversaries are present at the same time, the reloading may cost you your life.

This is why we recommend to use this perk with weapons that have larger clips, meaning weapons with 50 ammo or more. We refer here to the P90 and support weapons.

Overall this perk is useful on both normal and hardcore difficulty level.

At the normal difficulty, where killing an enemy requires more hits, you gain an advantage especially in close combat, by dividing the time necessary to kill your adversaries.

On the hardcore level, this perk can be useful if you want to play with a suppressive style and random burst while on long range. Since you can have more chance to hit your adversaries with burst containing a larger amount of bullets. This is especially true with the support weapons.

Finally, this perk finds it’s use on both difficulty levels as long as you adopt an adapted style of playing.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Backlot Multiplayer

Friday, March 28th, 2008

In this video I’m not too exceptional but it’s still a 43 kills and This is a video of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in the map Backlot. This video is recorded in Hardcore mode. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Crossfire

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Here are two video of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare in the Map Crossfire. Those multiplayer video of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare were recorded in normal team deathmatch and FFA mode. The fist was on hardcore and the second on normal “difficulty”. I use the Bandoleer in both video. In the first I use UAV jammer and Dead silent. Those two perk are really good in hardcore mode since you can use your stealth and sneak your way behind enemies line and shoot them in the back. In the second video I use stopping power and steady aim which were a good for normal mode. Stopping power increase the damage you do to your enemies, compensating for the fact that it’s not hardcore. The steady aim is mostly useful for recording video. Since the game lag more as I record, the aimpoint is harder, steady aim come compensate for the limited use I can do of the aim point. In the first video I use the Mp5 since it’s effective in hardcore and accurate. The AK-47 is probably my favourite assault rifle and is better for the normal mode. So enjoy. :)

Enjoy. :)

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Multiplayer

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

It’s been a while since I posted a video. This was cause by multiple issues and I must say that in the coming months i probably won’t be able to put that many videos in a row because of the same issues and I’m basically in a position where I need to wait until those Issues fix them self and I can’t accelerate the process. Now I plan to publish a couple of videos of multiple games but don’t expect too many of them ;)

Now here is a video that I recorded a few weeks ago of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Multiplayer. I personally enjoyed the ending the most. Globally it was a really good game I had around 70 kill and around 20 death.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Multiplayer

Monday, December 10th, 2007

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in Multiplayer once again. This is a multiplayer game with arround 41 players as far as I remember. This is possible on PC and it’s most likely a moded server to allow such thing. What is really surprising is that with that many player it’s still playable, thanks to the really solid CoD4 aiming system.

Now some info on the equipment that I had since it seem to alway interest people. My gun Was a RPD.My perk were, Bandolier, Stopping Power and Deep impact. I finished the game with 43 kills and 6 deaths. And I had a 29 kills streak.

Now some minor announcement just to point out for those who would have missed it. The Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare Walkthrough- Act III and Epilogue is completed including, Ultimatum, All In, No fighting in the War Room and Mile High Club level

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare Multiplayer

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007

There has been many request for me to show some multiplayer of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. So here is some gameplay where for once I’m using a sniper rifle and I camp. The game ended up 14 kills, 4 deaths. That is an good ratio for a sniper but i had better moment.

It’s really hard to record multiplayer and be actually good. Recording does reduce a lot the fps making it really hard in games such as CoD4 where the core of the multiplayer is speed and reflex oriented.

Anyway, enjoy what you get. :)

The best part of CoD4
