Well, it has been quite some time since I’ve posted here on Date Your Game. I’ve got more videos on my youtube ready to watch that I don’t think I’ll get around to adding here, but for now I’ll post my latest video, Stronghold 2 Age of Rome.
Out of the 230+ subscribers I have, some 70% are mainly there for my Stronghold 2 videos. Me, loving computers, modifications, and gaming, decided to modify a computer game that both love and has gotten me a small amount of fame off of youtube. In 2006, a few friends of mine had this idea for a mod, bringing Stronghold 2 back into the Roman Ages. They didn’t get far, however. It wasn’t until December of 2007 that I took up the mantle and led the mod. Doing most of the work myself, I got good progress, and was able to release an alpha in the second quarter of 2008. As of now, I am still working on getting the Beta ready, which will have a brand new Conquest Trail, and maybe a few more new units. I think my Christmas it will be ready.
Now this video is just a preview of what I have done and what will be in the mod. The video features the first mission in the conquest trail, a Roman army marches out of Rome to attack one of the Gallic forts of the region. You also get a preview of some of the songs and units and such. Now without further ado, heres the video.
The alpha includes 10 new songs, 8 new units, a new loading screen, a few new maps, new unit cards and a few more small features. Enjoy this mod brought to you by Frankoman!
Hi all, here is a very nice World in Conflict video for you It is basically one Multiplayer match, on the map Hillside.
You may notice I have many timings with the music. The good thing is they are all awesome, some which had me saying wow. The bad is some of them are only with minor variations in the music. Oh well, life isn’t perfect, no?
I didn’t do too good that round, I only had 800 points at the end :/ Oh well.
I hope you enjoy this video! And if you want to play online just message me.
Hello all,
Frankoman here and taking a Crack at a new Stronghold 2 video!
Every since I bought Stronghold 2 (in late 2005, I believe), I had been addicted. Until Summer of 2007, Stronghold 2 was my only true Computer Game, and me, having beaten all 100 or so of my Console games, needed something to do. I had been playing so much, that I had started to learn the best ways to win. The campaigns eventually end and the Skirmish mode gets so tiring and easy. However, the game comes with a very unique and amazing tool: The Map Editor.
From about mid 2006, I had been working with the Editor. As my maps got better, I decided I would post them on a Professional site for Stronghold 2 custom made games. Experienced or not, all are welcome; and any masters may take you under your wing if you seem willing. To my luck, one of the most popular on there named Turtleman took me under his wing, and I learned many small hints and tricks from him. Now, today, I have been dubbed one of the Professionalists in the Map Making field, and have brought two people under my wing.
I had some requests to make a video of me making a map, but never really considered it until now. I needed an idea to make a new Stronghold 2 Video, and this idea came into mind. So, here you are; what was an hour and ten minutes is now six minutes, on speed double x 3. It all flows well, and the music is nice too
I hope you enjoy this video, look forward to playing this map soon! I will be making a video of me playing the map (Can’t decide if I want to make it Cinematic or not.. Maybe I’ll do both?), and when that video comes out, I will have it up for download on trusted sites.
NOTE:
This video doesn’t include my Small details and Extras that I put into the map, and doesn’t show the said hour of scripting or said two hours of Play Testing (Play Testing is when you play the map every few missions to make sure that there is no serious over balancing or major bugs, etc).
This is a quick map, however. a Truly good map from me would take about a month to perfect, but for a 5 hour map, I feel it is one of my funnest.
Hi all,
I am a little late, sorry, but here is my video. After getting 50 subscribers, I’m half way to my goal of 100. So I decided to make a video for those 50.
I was originally going to do Stronghold 2, but it takes me about a week to a month to make a good, true map, and I wouldn’t want to throw garbage to my peers So I decided to do mount and blade.
My goal was to get 50 kills in, but I only got 35. I had lost the other recordings, sadly, so I couldn’t add the other.
Also, I was hoping to show off my skill in Mount and Blade. I had been playing it for awhile and had developed archery, as someone told me to do, and I am not disappointed. It is fun doing up to 50 damage from a long range distance
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this video!
Hi guys, Frankoman here with some new, cool videos.
For starters, I was prompted by the DYG clan to get War Rock, and I am quite impressed. WarRock is a First person Shooter which takes place not too far in the future. An unnamed Civilization has fallen to rebellion, and it is your task to control either the Rebels or the Allies in this fun, fast paced Free FPS.
I enjoyed this game so much, I decided to make some videos on it. Each video is about a minute, since I myself am not a fan of watching someone die die die then kill a couple then die die die. So why not watch someone kill about 50 guys in 3 minutes?
This first video, my personal favorite, starts off my Death Zone series. I have been killed brutally, and must get revenge…
In this video, I was trying out a new editing technique of not adding transitions, and muting the sound. Also, with many things, I tried to co-ordinate the song and the video. You will notice right when the guy screams “GO”, I begin my killing spree, and get about 20 in this video. Then you will hear the guy say “It feels like I’m falling” and when that comes in, I shoot someone and they fall back, and after that “It feels like I am stumbling” I shoot a guy and he rolls to his death, almost like he tripped over his feet, and a couple other good ones.
This next one, I tried to go at a different technique from above. I tried to use the transitions, but there were some errors. Also, I enabled sound, but made it a tad quiet, so you can hear it, but the music rules all. there was some sound errors, so I don’t think I will be doing that again.
In this video, I again am hurt, this time twice, and each are pretty awesome. I thought that it would make a pretty awesome ending :P. I only kill about 13 in this one, since it was a short match, but it is pretty good. A thing I like about the ending, when I die my funny death, you see someone else come flying in, haha. Get ready to enjoy…
And finally, the conclusion to the three. I think you will love the way I die. How often do you play a match with hackers, and have THAT happen to you?
You know, as I think about it, in almost every match, there is always a funny or cool death. interesting.
Anyways, this video, I get shot off a cliff by a hacker. Damn hackers, I hate them. I’ll just get my revenge as accordingly
This one was on one of my favorite maps, so i was able to enjoy this one more and get more kills out of it. I had gotten about 30, but only put in 16 since a lot of them I died right after getting the kill, which isn’t fun to watch. I also got rid of the gun sound, but added transitions. They kind of went with the music, a little. I also added a small little thing, that I was exploring with. I had owned that guy when he tried surrendering. haha, poor fellow. He did make the papers though!
Well that concludes my War Rock Death Zone series. I will have more War rock videos though
I hope you enjoyed those videos, look forward to more in the future. Comments and constructive feedback are welcome (If you liked Transitions more, Gun sound etc) and just friendly comments are appreciated.
After days of working (hard ), drinking sprite and root beer constantly, and using the restroom at least 50 times a day, I finally finished the video! A big thanks goes to the DYG Community and everyone that contributed! If you were not in the video well next time we do something like this be sure to sign up. If i spelled your name wrong or you didn’t like the music on your clip I’m sorry. Can’t please everyone. Anyways without further or do I give you..
Hello all!
Time for some explosions! I have been playing World in Conflict for some time, and I must say it has some of the best online attributes ever! This is one fun game.
Now, I do know some of you don’t have it, so I had you guys in mind. Have you ever seen a nuclear explosion? If not, you will now. The game designers filmed real nukes going off and put them into the game, in a 3D style. So here you go! This was during online, by the way.
Oh and sorry about the lag, my computer was running slow today for some reason.
I suggest to everyone to get the Demo for this, and if you like it then to buy the game. You won’t be disappointed. If your computer will support it’s online feature, then this game will be one of the funnest you’ve ever played.
Hello all, before I start working on my Mount and Blade Video, here is a non serious video for you all to Ejnoy.
Ever play Rome Total War? Ever encounter a glitch that destroys your formations, and you have no idea what? Ever wonder what the soldiers do in there leisure time? Do you want a quick laugh? Then this Spartan will surely answer it all!
“I care not what my soldiers do off the field. I care not if they are ready and in formation the next day. Let them be Warriors in the day, and men at night.” - Julius Caesar
Hi all, for those that don’t know me, I’m Frankoman, a video maker and resident computer genius.
Here is a nice video of Medieval 2 Total War Kingdoms
Since Kingdoms is one of my favorite games, and the Crusades are my favorite campaign, I bring you the knight hospitalier vs Turks!
I hope you enjoy!
My strategy, playing as the knight hospitalier, was to hold my position as well as I could, while the Knights of Antioch flanks the Turks. In the eyes of the knight hospitalier leader, Our Spearmen were to defend the line, and not break, while the Men of the Holy Cannon Defended the Great Cross. Our Cavalry would try to disrupt the enemy as best as we could, and stall the enemy while we awaited the Antioch Knights to relieve us.
Unfortunately, the turks prepared for this…
Who will win? That massive and strong army of the turks, or the few but proud men of Christendom?
Other then that, I hope you guys enjoy my company here! I should be posting more as time progresses, and later on I’ll give detailed videos, telling you on the best strategies. (Strategies used resemble the Historical Julius Caesars Books on warfares, reenacted in Medieval 2)
