Starcraft 2 Annoncement trailer *updated*
Ok, I know you were waiting for it, (or should have). So its finally here Starcraft 2! The trailer show just a marine getting suited up but the way and detail of this CGI will show us how good the game will be. The CGI movies will clearly be a great pleasure to view it since blizzard alway make great CGI animation.

gah they put the production fo diablo3 off to make this game, oh well.. that cinematic was great, blizzard are the best in the buisness, oh and i bet korea will host a national holiday for the release lol.

After C&C3 i reliased that i gone tierd of Classical rts. The gameplay is the same as Dune 2 from 1992. The only rts games i play now is Dawn of War and Total war seriers.

Yeah I’m also a little tired of classical rts, and one thing is sure about Starcraft, is that they won’t innovate too much. Considering the popularity of the original in Korea in the pro gaming. The probably will keep the principle the same.
If it’s not broken don’t fix it…

Not me, after C&C3 that i have waited for in 9 months. And when i got it was really dissepointing. nothing new except units. I bet its the same case whit Starcraft2 :/

Sorry to say guys i think that this game is gonna dissepoint you BIG time!!!
The gamplay is probebly the same as Dune2. That happend to me whit C&C3, i think C&C3 sucks. Just play Tiberian sun and you have C&C3
As an RTS veteran i want NEW gameplay!! Is that to much to ask.

yeah I think i share the alf2142 opinion on that.
I don’t think starcraft 2 will improve the rts style that much and I also think that’s what blizzard aim for.
Considering the “main” market for that game (Korea). I don’t think blizzard will change much gameplay from the previous game. I think they probably will make starcraft 2 playing totally the same as the first stracraft to the sec exact. Now what will be new about it is new units, allowing new strategy, new 3d environment (probably requiring a low end computer).
The main new thing will probably be a once again great story in single player with amazing cutscene like only blizzard is able to do.
So that game probably will be more like a face lift, an evolution, but i would be surprise if that’s a revolution in rts.

the thing is that Blizzard alway had the interest to make the game available to a large audience (low end computer) so they won’t make crazy looking games that require a 2000$ computer. Just think of WoW, that game is really really popular, and doesn’t require a beast. So every one can play it. That’s the secret of success.

Warcraft and Starcraft is based on Games Workshops Warhammer fantasy and 40,000. In warcraft 2 you press a number of times on an orc, he comes whit a tribute to games workshop for come up whit the universe.

Alf2142 well what do u want them to change? I mean u cant really change RTS gameplay then it wouldnt be an RTS.

What he means Schnitzelz is add or change some element of the game that no other RTS games have ever done before. Like the Total War series did with thousands of soldiers on the field at once, or Company of Heroes (supposedly) did with “smart” soldiers and usable environments. Personally I kinda like alf2142’s idea to play Dawn of War and Total War and maybe a couple of classics and leave it at that. I sure do hope Starcraft 2 brings SOMETHING worth-while to the table though.
P.S. holy crap there is some terrible English going on in here…I can’t read about 1/4 of this stuff x P

haha yeah I know I was just kidding…I’m sure there are many French speaking posters, seeing how Attila’s primary language is French, as well as many other languages. I am just an English freak. I even correct my girlfriend from time to time and she speaks nearly perfect English. I would be an English teacher if I didn’t hate teaching. So if you do not speak perfect English please refrain from talking…just kidding x )

Looks awesome I’m sure to get it. I loved the game play the first time and im happy its not that different now. Its the simplicity of it that makes it such a great game.
