Medieval II Total War: Holy Roman Empire Chronicles 04 Turn 09-10
In this episode I use an other strategy learned from the computer, since the computer try to siege Venice and is currently on a bridge, I send one unit to attack them in the back. Since they defend against this unit they face this lonely unit and my army in Venice come from the back to engage the enemy without having to fight on a bridge. So the AI seems a little puzzle and can’t do anything to save themselves.

Hello, i got a question:
why even bother with such tricks? IE is lame and anyone who played a little multiplayer M2 would own PC anytime, with great results!

yeah, I would love to play a multiplayer campaign, but right now it’s totally boring to have point less battle in the middle of no where with army spawning from no where leading to victory without goal…
So I enjoy more the single player even if that’s far too easy because the battle have a strategic goal.

attila i have quenstions to is it fun to put up in internet for the hole people to see it??
March 15th, 2007 at 7:31 pm
Well it’s “fun” but also a lot of work.
Consider that making a video available can take then game play time x3. Because you need to record, you need to edit, you need to compile and you need to publish. So all that take time.
Now the “fun” part is to get feedback, because most people will enjoy you video and will compliment you on it, some people will learn from it, etc.
But, you must also be “strong” because there will alway be people that won’t like what you do, insult, ridicule, say stupid thing. etc. I rarely get those because I’m “good” at the game I play. But I know that some people get a hard time because they are not that good.
But on a more positive side of thing, I think that you actually gain a lot in skill by recording yourself and publish it. Because you will watch yourself after the action and this will allow you to notice what you did wrong. I think I was good before starting recording all those video, but I improved myself a lot since then.
So I think it’s more interesting then fun to publish and show how you play or things like that, because it’s also a lot of work

Hey Attila,
Are you using arcade mode? cause you dont seem to hesitate charging, and i always thought it dangerous to have your troops run out of steam in the midst of battle.
Also what are the ways of making money (except road, farm, and trade rights)? I dont have the guide so…
March 18th, 2007 at 8:27 am
I don’t think there is an arcades mode in medieval (I think). The Troop get tired over time, but if you make the enemy panic fast, you don’t have to worries that much about it, make your troop walk. It’s rare my troops get exhausted before the end of the battle.
As for the money I think pillage is your best friend

haha, you are truely Attila.
I tend to spend too much time managing my economy…and also how much army do you usually leave in a newly captured province? I find that it takes a few turns for that province to become obedient.
And i think the bad habits of dragged out battles come from Rome, I used to win with very little or no casulties from spending heaps of time manipulating my line and position each unit.
March 19th, 2007 at 8:07 am
well in general I leave maybe one or two spearman unit, sometime none (if I can produce some in the city). The important part is to build church and priest to make sure the population is brain washed and “happy” in the religious illusion
March 21st, 2007 at 10:52 pm
really?!
I always leave at least 4 or 5. So everytime i take a city, my full flag will be reduced to half. Which is annoying cause it ties down the speed that i can advance.

I you really want to stay in control of the city, exterminate the population, this way they won’t revolt. But if you pillage, it will take maybe 3 turn to fix the order.
