Here is an interesting documentary I found on Google Video, It explain the history of gaming, from pong to now worth a look. It show very well the evolution of gaming

I think this documentary explain well how the industries was born, did grow, and where it’s going.
It also point out the issue that violent video game had since the beginning until now and why those that aren’t game don’t understand what it is about.
