Men of War Coop
This is an other video of Men of War in Coop. In this mission you need to hold a series of trench against an overwhelming german assault. The key to the fight is really cooperation and well placed airstrike. As you can see in this video this game contain a lot of vehicle and artillery of all kind, so at the end of the video I show the Thor Cannon we captured later on as an exemple. Enjoy!

Empire Total War French Chronicle 2
This chronicle start with a naval battle. I actually don’t have much to say about the battle other then it was even in term of fleet strength. I used the line formation without much success considering the ship AI really didn’t followed the line in an effective way. So I lost 3 ship while the Dutch lost all the fleet. But while I won, this battle pretty much made my remaining fleet useless from a strategic point of view.
Back to the strategic level of the game, the first action I took was to exempt London region from tax in order to slowly convert the hostile population to their new master while getting more reinforcement from the continent to continue the war. As you can see, the mighty british army reacted to the war, but was ineffective at blocking my reinforcement.
My second priority was to push back the british small armies and rebels away from london and I divided my forces to achieve it. In England after some skirmish around the place I capture Scotland without much opposition and the city turn out to be fairly easy to please by just exempting them from any tax.
While the war rage in England in the south of France, Savoy start a raiding campaign against me and it promise to be annoying for a while without really hurting me much. That would lead me to weaken my defense on the German front and give the opportunity to my enemies there to attack with false hope to capture my territory.
Empire Total War French Chronicles 1
Welcome to this new Total War chronicles by Attila.
This first campaign chronicles will feature gameplay using the French Empire at the very hard difficulty. The Faction was choose by a vote from the community on dateyourgame forum and we actually encourage you to keep voting for the factions you would like to see played in potential future chronicles.
First lets make a small tour of the french faction.
The French start surrounded by enemies, to the north, the British Navy is a danger against commerce rout. to the East the germans states and United Province are not really friendly. To the south, the Italians factions are not friendly either. To the west Spain is a strong naval power and the only ally of France that worth mentioning.
France also has a Colonial Empire in North America. The New France is a small lines of city, very exposed to Native and British (13 colonies) attacks. Historically, they really are a secondary concern for France and while they provide some revenue, France was more concern by European trouble. The 13 Colonies on the other hand stand strong and compact against the very wide badly defended French Colonial Empire.
Now back to the action.
Once the adviser finished telling the situation, I quickly decided to take all my forces and regroup them into a single army. At the same time i choose to disband a part of my fleet to save money on ships that i would not use, or lose anyway. I also kept some troop to send to the East in order to gain some time in case the germans states seek a war with the French.
On the technological level, I choose to research the first Bayonet to get that military edge on my enemies.
Those aspect taken care of, was time to execute my plan.
I embarked my army into the ship I had in the north and declared war to England, capturing their ports. Landing my troops and attacking London. Of course the British had a lot of ally that also declared war to me. But well that’s a small side effect :)
That lead us to the battle of London.
The british defend with 14 units in the city and 5 units in reinforcement. against those number I have 11 units. But while that may appear a risky move, it’s calculated risk. The French soldiers I have are much better then the british soldiers defending the city.
As the battle start at 4:24, I deploy my army not so much to attack the main defender forces, but to attack the enemies reinforcements. As I expected the enemies reinforcement spawned on the rear of my spawning position.
Since one of the two enemy cavalry was a general, I sent my own general and my militia cavalry against it. I sent my lancer against his militia cavalry. I deployed my Line Infantry around the zone where the reinforcement spawn and fire at them a couple of time before charging them in a melee fight. When the enemy cavalry routed I then use my own cavalry to reinforce my infantry and this was the end of the reinforcement army.
Without that reinforcement army on the way, I could then walk my way to the main enemy army, mostly compose of armed citizen. Meaning, very very bad troops. For some reason the AI choose to group them into a very compact formation near a fence. I guess that being that compact give them a moral boost…
But since they were that compact and didn’t seem to want to move out of such formation. I deployed my forces arround them in very wide line. Since I do not have the “rank fire technology” yet, the wider the line the more firepower you have at this point.
While my infantry fired on the enemies making them panic, my cavalry was ordered to slowly move around the enemies. and get ready for a charge in their back and they did after a long firefight between the defender my infantry.
It was a fairly easy battle and it gave me the control London.
The first thing I did after capturing London was to fix the barrack, this way I can produce troops directly in england without having to bring them from the continent.
The second thing I did was to destroy the protestant church. The reason being, I want to convert England to my own faction religion. By converting the population, I increase the stability of my regions.
Once I was pretty sure there wasn’t much else to do in Europe, I switch my attention in North America where I moved my armies into the cities and developed Québec City, the main French stronghold in North America. It’s really important to develop Québec City since it’s the key to the French military presence in North America. If you lose Québec City, you may as well give up the French presence in North America
Finally, I hit end turn, and you can briefly seem a Dutch fleet moving toward England, and I will “intercept it” in the next episode.

This is a replay from my first campaign in Empire Total War. It’s nothing spectacular but still look good. This is more like an other wake up call to invite you to vote on what should be the faction I use for my next Empire Total War chronicle.

Here is an other nice video of Men of War in Coop. This is one of the really nice looking mission in my opinion. The sand storm is really well done and gives a nice feeling to the action. Really does remind me of those old WWII movies.
Your first objective is to clear a series of heavy machine gun and to do so you have many soldiers. Since that was a coop game we divided the work in two squad. I was flanking to the right while Instinct was in charge of the left.
Once the HMG were clear we were able to sneak into the enemy airbase using a truck. But I had to cut before we got detected for technical reason on my part (That will allow you to find out what will happen on your own! When you will play it yourself you probably will enjoy a lot that mission. It’s really diversified in pace and atmosphere and of course end in a glorious firefight.
