Crysis Demo Playthrough- Yes the third one so far

Posted by fizznfire12 On October - 28 - 2007

I decided to finally try making a walkthrough of a demo :)

Crysis is art. No just a game, a masterpiece. This game has re-defined what a shooter should look like, and really shows how far video game graphics have come… From the days of arcade Pac-man to something you could mistake to be real. But anyway, let me talk about the demo. To start, the gameplay honestly reminds me of Half- Life 2 at points, while it plays like ArmA or BF2 at others. It’s a perfect combination of arcade shoot- em’- up and high- fidelity realism. which is what all games should be like. ( aside from simulations) It’s hard to tell how fun a game is from a video at times.

I have to honestly say there’s not a HUGE difference in gameplay from previous games and Crysis, and aside from graphics and all, i wasn’t extremely impressed at first. But, as i played through on different difficulties, and tried different strategies, i found it to be just AMAZING. I spent upwards of 6 hours in the demo so far. With the suit functions, weapons, physics, and the AI, the single- player will be just plain addicting, and the replay value will be astounding. And were not talking about multi- player… which i can only dream about.

Aside from the gameplay, the graphics need to introduction. The video will show that. But i just need to say it’s so absolutely godlike… There’s parts where i just get so distracted by the sun rising above the water, or the distant forest terrain, that i just have to stop and stare. My jaw was pretty much dropped the entire time. Well here you go, ENJOY!

PART TWO:

The best 2 ways to kill in Crysis

Posted by Greatdictator On October - 28 - 2007

After seeing that my comp could run Crysis better then I expected I must say that the game is awesome I made this video to show all you people the two ways you could play the game by either using stealth or Brute force I tested it out on this one small encampment of enemies the first time I chose stealth but I wasn’t make the video then you can take them all out and in the end only use one grenade to while when you use force you better sneak in somewhere and strike from within which ever way you choose Fun is Guaranteed :)

WarRock Death Zone

Posted by Frankoman On October - 28 - 2007

Hi guys, Frankoman here with some new, cool videos.

For starters, I was prompted by the DYG clan to get War Rock, and I am quite impressed. WarRock is a First person Shooter which takes place not too far in the future. An unnamed Civilization has fallen to rebellion, and it is your task to control either the Rebels or the Allies in this fun, fast paced Free FPS.

I enjoyed this game so much, I decided to make some videos on it. Each video is about a minute, since I myself am not a fan of watching someone die die die then kill a couple then die die die. So why not watch someone kill about 50 guys in 3 minutes? :)

This first video, my personal favorite, starts off my Death Zone series. I have been killed brutally, and must get revenge…

In this video, I was trying out a new editing technique of not adding transitions, and muting the sound. Also, with many things, I tried to co-ordinate the song and the video. You will notice right when the guy screams “GO”, I begin my killing spree, and get about 20 in this video. Then you will hear the guy say “It feels like I’m falling” and when that comes in, I shoot someone and they fall back, and after that “It feels like I am stumbling” I shoot a guy and he rolls to his death, almost like he tripped over his feet, and a couple other good ones. :)

This next one, I tried to go at a different technique from above. I tried to use the transitions, but there were some errors. Also, I enabled sound, but made it a tad quiet, so you can hear it, but the music rules all. there was some sound errors, so I don’t think I will be doing that again.
In this video, I again am hurt, this time twice, and each are pretty awesome. I thought that it would make a pretty awesome ending :P. I only kill about 13 in this one, since it was a short match, but it is pretty good. A thing I like about the ending, when I die my funny death, you see someone else come flying in, haha. Get ready to enjoy…

And finally, the conclusion to the three. I think you will love the way I die. How often do you play a match with hackers, and have THAT happen to you?

You know, as I think about it, in almost every match, there is always a funny or cool death. interesting.
Anyways, this video, I get shot off a cliff by a hacker. Damn hackers, I hate them. I’ll just get my revenge as accordingly :)
This one was on one of my favorite maps, so i was able to enjoy this one more and get more kills out of it. I had gotten about 30, but only put in 16 since a lot of them I died right after getting the kill, which isn’t fun to watch. I also got rid of the gun sound, but added transitions. They kind of went with the music, a little. I also added a small little thing, that I was exploring with. I had owned that guy when he tried surrendering. haha, poor fellow. He did make the papers though!

Well that concludes my War Rock Death Zone series. I will have more War rock videos though :)

I hope you enjoyed those videos, look forward to more in the future. Comments and constructive feedback are welcome (If you liked Transitions more, Gun sound etc) and just friendly comments are appreciated.

Crysis

Posted by Attila On October - 27 - 2007

Today here are 4 videos of one of the most anticipated game of the year on PC and exclusively on PC, Crysis. Most people expect that game for one thing… Graphics… It’s one of the game that Microsoft used to promote DirectX 10. Now… the game does run in directx9 fortunately but it still require a really good hardware and my hardware is really border, so it’s not that enjoyable and I think I will wait until I switch computer before buying it… But here is the result of my recording of the demo. The part one is in part on medium quality… but as you will figure out by yourself it was seriously laggin and I had 5 fps at some point. But it show the potential in visual quality of the game. The 3 other videos are on low quality graphic so that the game would be more playable.

Now I had around 15 fps while playing and recording so it wasn’t really enjoyable to the result is survivable even if I really didn’t played well… So enjoy what you get :D

Posted by Kinshejsi On October - 19 - 2007

Here’s some more Black for ps2. The first vid is the end of a level where I died twice, the first time I stepped on a mine, the second time I got killed :P The second vid is the beginnig of the level after the first. Not much else to say I think I told everything in my first post of Black.

Hellgate London.

Posted by Attila On October - 19 - 2007

Today a video from Hellgate London. This game seem to have many people exited in the RPG world. The game Look nice indeed. In a kind of post apocalyptic world invaded by Demons and weird creature. This game really remind me of Diablo. It’s very linear and the enemies are really similar. I like the fact that you actually have more control on your character in this game and can move around. But unfortunately you can’t do much about the direction of your attacks. You can only make special attack like in any other RPG. So the gameplay doesn’t impress me that much so far. There is very little music of ambient sound so it’s globally really boring.

But I must say that the worse part is probably the agreement they make you accept.

3. Consent to Use of Data. You agree that EA, its affiliates, and each Related Party may collect, use, store and transmit technical and related information that identifies your computer, including without limitation your Internet Protocol address, operating system, application software and peripheral hardware, that may be gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, dynamically served content, product support and other services to you, including online play. EA and/or the Related Parties may also use this information in the aggregate and, in a form which does not personally identify you, to improve our products and services and we may share that aggregate data with our third party service providers.

This basically make the game a spyware that can scan god know what on your computer. So bye bye privacy. At least on Steam they ask you if you want to submit your information and tell you what you submit, here it is really vague from what I understand of it.

Company of Heroes: Bliztkrieg (motorcycle rush)

Posted by yoeeb On October - 18 - 2007

This is me playing a 2v2 using my favorite tactic of blitzkrieging (motorcycle rushing) the enemy. This is a really effective tactic as motorcycles can eliminate enemy engineers, riflemen and weapons teams with great ease in large numbers. They are also very cheap and can easily out maneuver tanks and armored cars. With all the enemy’s early infantry under control my ally was then able to take nearly all of the strategic points without much resistance. After then… well lets just say we mortar’d the hell out of the allies bases, winning the game in 15 minutes.

Right Brain vs Left Brain war!

Posted by Attila On October - 17 - 2007

This will be an interesting post today

The challenge today, telling us in what way the dancer is turning, Clockwise or anti-clockwise or both way?

Dancer

The way it’s turning will define if you are more a Left Brain or Right brain kind of person. :)

If it Turn clockwise you are more a right brain. The right brain is define as: uses feeling, “big picture” oriented, imagination rules, symbols and images, present and future, philosophy & religion, can “get it” (i.e. meaning), believes, appreciates, spatial perception, knows object function, fantasy based, presents, ossibilities, impetuous, risk taking.

if it turn anti clockwise you are more a left brain. The left brain is define as:uses logic, detail oriented, facts rule, words and language, present and past, math and science, can comprehend, knowing, acknowledges order/pattern perception, knows object name, reality based, forms strategies, practical, safe.

You can find the source of that fund mind game there

Armed Assault: “El Hakim- The Beginning”

Posted by fizznfire12 On October - 17 - 2007

This is a video I just recently made, and is the beginning of what i plan to turn into a series. I have posted it on Dateyourgame.com, because it’s a fantastic website which i have begun checking daily for great videos. So, i decided to make a contribution of my own to Dateyourgame, and post my newest video I hope you enjoy!

“El Hakim, a man who once served as a Colonel in the Turkish Armed Forces has moved to the remote island of Sahrani, an Island being demoralized by a conflict between the Northern island, and the Southern island. The United States has sent peacekeeping forces to the Island to ease the situation.

But, El Hakim has taken upon a deep hatred for America when his father was murdered in Iraq when driving through the city of Al Basrah. He has raised a small army of mechanized forces, as well as experienced special forces, and he plans to attack a vital American M1A1 Abrams convoy, and cripple the American’s push to the city of Paraiso.”

Two awsome Demos one awsome Video

Posted by Greatdictator On October - 14 - 2007

There Better, there Faster they require stronger PCs and there getting HARDER ITS THE NEXT GEN GAMES thats why i made this music video too show TimeShift and Call of Duty 4 which will show you a lot of action. ;)

Call of Duty 4… yes, again.

Posted by Tokokono On October - 14 - 2007

I know, Attila already posted this, but you know? I don’t care… I wanted to post my own playing of the demo, so I did. This wasn’t at veteran level, but it’s still call of duty 4! Enjoy!

Call of Duty 4

Posted by Attila On October - 12 - 2007

Call of Duty 4 is a game that I looked forward to, with a mix feeling. The multiplayer video I saw from it on xbox 360 were not really convincing. But once again the Call of Duty engine surprised me. With a stable 56 fps on my computer and still good visual, it impress me. The action is very intense and more then all fun. The difficulty level are well design making it adaptative to your taste from a kind of arcade game to a 3 hit and your dead. One noticable aspect of the game is the health system that now work a little like Halo, Rainbow Six Vegas or Time Shift, Crysis etc. Seem it’s the new standard in the industry so you can forget about the health pack. The other nice aspect is the diversity of equipment available on the Battlefield, there is a large diversity of weapons that will meet you taste. All those aspect really does make that demo crazy fun, I highly recommend trying it out.

Alien vs Predator 2

Posted by yoeeb On October - 12 - 2007

This is a video I made a while back for the DYG contest but it never went ahead so I thought id finally upload it here. Made using the game avp 2. I also used original predator soundtrack.

Time Shift

Posted by Attila On October - 12 - 2007

Time Shift is a game that has in the core concept the time manipulation as a weapon. So you can slow down time, stop time, reverse time and other stuff that I’m yet to discover. So that give you an advantage over your enemies and you can even take their guns from their hand while they are in a stopped time. As you can see also in this video there is sometime, time puzzle, where you will need to reverse time or halt it to advance. The weapons are fun and the fighting is really cool thanks to the destructible environment. I must say that there was a demo of this game one year ago and it really wasn’t impressive. But Sierra asked the developer what would they improve and Sierra told them, “Well do it”. The result is really cool now I must say and the engine is very good. Proof that if you give the resource to a developer they can improve games a lot.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate

Posted by Attila On October - 10 - 2007

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate is the second expansion of FEAR and continue the really weird and potentially scary story. This video show gameplay from the demo. As usual the game look very linear with scripted sequence design to make your think twice about your next move. Take a look if you dare, but don’t blame me if you get nightmare…

This game is rated M for mature for good reasons.

Some Nuclear Warefare

Posted by Frankoman On October - 9 - 2007

Hello all!
Time for some explosions! I have been playing World in Conflict for some time, and I must say it has some of the best online attributes ever! This is one fun game.
Now, I do know some of you don’t have it, so I had you guys in mind. Have you ever seen a nuclear explosion? If not, you will now. The game designers filmed real nukes going off and put them into the game, in a 3D style. So here you go! This was during online, by the way.

Oh and sorry about the lag, my computer was running slow today for some reason.

I suggest to everyone to get the Demo for this, and if you like it then to buy the game. You won’t be disappointed. If your computer will support it’s online feature, then this game will be one of the funnest you’ve ever played.
